Fakes and Authenticity

Fakes and authenticity concern whether a bottle is what it claims to be. This hub covers suspect bottles, provenance and documentation, scientific assessment, and cases of exposed fakes.

The brief supplies verified claim summaries for all four articles, but it does not include the source records or full URLs required by the writing instructions. References such as “[1]” identify different sources in different article summaries, so they cannot safely become a single numbered Sources block.

The brief does not supply the source records needed to verify the claims. A source URL is required when it was supplied in the brief or retrieved by live search. Producing a finished page now would therefore require inventing references, adding unapproved sources or omitting mandatory evidence. None would meet the requested standard.
