Whisky Events Calendar
The Whisky Events Calendar is designed to help you find whisky festivals, tastings and other events by date and location. Use it to identify an event that interests you, then check the organiser’s own information before making plans.
[TOOL TO BUILD]
Find an event
Start with a country or location and a date range. Narrow the results by event type if you want to distinguish a festival from a guided tasting, talk or distillery event. The calendar should show the event’s local date and time, rather than silently converting everything to your own time zone.
Each result should give you enough information to decide whether to investigate further, without replacing the organiser’s booking page. A date in the calendar is not confirmation that places remain available.
What each listing shows
- Event name and type.
- Country, locality and venue, or an online event designation.
- Start and end dates, with local times where confirmed.
- The organiser and a direct link to its official event information.
- Event status, including any confirmed postponement or cancellation.
- The source and date of the most recent verification.
Missing details should appear as “not verified”, not as assumptions. A missing start time, for example, must not become an all day event, and an unconfirmed venue must not be replaced with the organiser’s address.
How the calendar is compiled
The calendar’s matching rule is straightforward: show listings that match the selected location and event type and whose published dates overlap the selected date range. Events lasting several days should appear as one listing, not as separate events for each day.
Listings should be checked against information published by the organiser or the host venue. A previous edition’s dates are not evidence for the next edition, and a recurring event should not be added until its next dates are confirmed.
Where an organiser announces a change, the listing should retain a clear status and show when it was checked. Conflicting dates should remain unresolved until an authoritative event source clarifies them; the calendar should not choose whichever date looks more likely.
Before making plans
Follow the official event link to check booking requirements, the venue, accessibility arrangements and age rules. Check whether individual sessions need separate reservations and whether the programme has changed since the listing was verified.
For events involving alcohol, plan transport that does not involve driving after drinking. Attendance need not involve drinking, and nobody needs to finish a tasting sample.
What the calendar cannot confirm
This is a reference calendar, not a booking service. It does not confirm admission, ticket availability, accessibility for an individual’s needs or the final programme. No results means that no matching verified listing is held, not that no event exists.
Use the verification date as a guide to how recently a listing was checked, not as a guarantee that nothing has changed. The organiser’s current information is the final check before travel or booking.
Sources
No event records or external sources were supplied for this draft; individual listings will require their own official source links and verification dates.
